The Deal

You purchase ShadowGit as shown on the checkout page. We give you software that saves your code automatically and gives your AI assistants perfect memory of your changes via our MCP server. Your code stays on your machine. We can't see it, touch it, or lose it. If ShadowGit doesn't save your bacon within 7 days, get your money back.

1. License Agreement

When you purchase ShadowGit, you're buying a perpetual license to use the software. This means:

• One license per developer
• Lifetime updates included
• No subscription fees ever
• Cannot resell or transfer your license

2. What ShadowGit Does

ShadowGit monitors your project directories and automatically creates local snapshots of your code changes. It runs entirely on your machine and includes an MCP server that gives your AI assistants (Claude, Cursor, etc.) perfect memory of your code history. We provide the software; you provide the machine to run it on.

Important: While ShadowGit dramatically improves AI debugging and saves tokens, it's also a disaster recovery tool. Keep using Git. Keep making backups. ShadowGit enhances your AI workflow and serves as your safety net when other tools aren't enough.

3. What We're NOT Responsible For

• Code lost before you installed ShadowGit
• Hardware failures (if your disk dies, snapshots die with it)
• You forgetting to install ShadowGit on a new project
• Snapshots you manually delete
• AI assistants making changes you didn't intend (though our MCP server is read-only)
• Acts of God, war, or rogue AGI

4. Refund Policy

7-day money-back guarantee. If ShadowGit doesn't work as advertised, email us at support@shadowgit.com within 7 days of purchase. We'll refund you, no questions asked. After 7 days, all sales are final.

5. Intellectual Property

ShadowGit software is our property. You can't reverse engineer it, redistribute it, or claim you built it. Your code remains your property. We have zero rights to your code and zero access to it.

6. Warranty Disclaimer

ShadowGit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We've tested it extensively and use it ourselves daily, but software is software. We cannot guarantee it will work perfectly in every environment or catch every change.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our maximum liability to you is the amount you paid us. We're not responsible for lost profits, lost data, or consequential damages. This is developer productivity software - adjust expectations accordingly.

8. Support

We provide email support at support@shadowgit.com. We typically respond within 24 hours on business days. We'll help with:

• Installation issues
• License activation problems
• Bug reports
• Recovery assistance
• MCP server integration issues
• AI assistant configuration help

We won't help with: general coding questions, recovering code lost before ShadowGit installation, debugging your actual code, or AI assistant billing issues.

9. Termination

Your license is perpetual unless you violate these terms. Violations include:

• Sharing your license key
• Attempting to crack or bypass license validation
• Redistributing the software
• Using it for illegal purposes

If we terminate your license, you get no refund and must stop using ShadowGit.

10. Updates and Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of ShadowGit after changes means you accept the new terms. If you don't like the new terms, stop using ShadowGit (but no refund after 30 days).

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, DE. Any disputes will be resolved in Germany's courts. If you're using ShadowGit from outside of Europe, you're responsible for complying with local laws.
